Founded in 1981 in Dallas, Texas, SB
International Inc. was initially formed as a metal trading company
that exported non-ferrous metal products including scrap and
off-spec steel. The Company seized the opportunity of the surge in
demand for these products overseas and experienced tremendous
initial growth.
 In the mid-eighties, the company diversified into the area of
Stainless Steel marketing. Cold rolled, mainly Prime Stainless Steel
flat products, were imported for distribution within the United
States.
Our international operations are facilitated by our presence
represented in India, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Pakistan,
Germany, United Kingdom, Brazil and Mexico. Utilizing this global
network, we have developed a unique business model: supply of raw
material to customers worldwide and import of finished products.
In 1992, SB acquired a metal processing facility in Dallas, Texas,
situated on 10 acres of industrial land near Downtown. At this
facility, steel products are processed and distributed to cater to
the needs of the domestic foundry industry, steel distribution
centers in the area, as well as for export to China, India and other
Southeast Asian countries. In addition, the company set up a
distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland to service the Northeast
region.
The Company has clearly established its position as a leader in the
global marketplace leveraging its experience of over two decades in
exports and imports by optimizing costs and delivery times.
Management has spent time developing its relationships with Mills
across the world and partnering with several of them to ensure that
all products are manufactured to specification. Over time, we have
developed the expertise in managing and providing global logistic
solutions as an importer/exporter and distributor.
The Pipe and Tubing division at SB International Inc. sources pipe
and tubing products from overseas for distribution within the United
States, to specifically serve the energy services sector. The
Company’s value proposition to its customers is the ability to
provide a steady and reliable supply of pipe and tubing
expeditiously, and at competitive prices. We distinguish ourselves
by sourcing and distributing a higher quality, more specialized
product that serves the specific needs of the energy sector. |
